I want to withdraw from the event
Please check the specific event details. Generally we are able to refund your entry fee minus an administration fee up until a certain date, after which there will be no refunds.
What is the billing name on my credit card?
The billing name on your credit card statement for all events that you enter on this site, whether managed by Sport Northland or not, will be 'Sport Northland.'
I have been billed twice?
All online entries are processed by a third party company (for reasons of your credit card security). This company does not forward to us your credit card information, only confirmation of your payment. That means we cannot directly refund any duplicate entries.
To receive a refund of your duplicate entry payment, you must contact your bank. They will organize the correct paper work to process your refund.
If you have a VISA card, please phone their customer services on:
ANZ 0800 930 747
ASB 0800 803 804
National Bank 0800 18 18 18

TSB 0508 872 2265
Kiwibank 0800 11 33 55
Or call the number on your Credit Card statement.
How do I know I am entered?
When you enter, you will receive an email which has your entry details and acts as a receipt of payment. Also check on the website under the enter tab. If you enter by post make sure you include an email address so you can receive updates, confirmation and so on.
When is the last time I can enter?
Be aware that events often fill very quickly and we may reach the limit before the due date, so to be sure to get a start place, enter online early!
Can I Bring a Baby Buggy/Pushchair?
For some of the events. This all depends on the event and nature of the course. In some cases we have deemed the courses unsuitable due to Health and Safety concerns. If you wish to bring a baby buggy to the events in which they are allowed you must enter and abide by the conditions of the specific baby buggy/pram walk category - see event details for more information.
Is there entry on event day?
NO, there are no late entries at any venue on event day. Entry is limited and will be taken on a first in first served basis. Do not delay your entry as once an event is full your entry will be declined.
Are the roads closed?
A road is never really closed. There will always be vehicles on it. Our policy is to say that the road is open to all traffic and that you must obey the road rules and our instructions at all times. Specific safety information will be sent out prior to events and given during pre event safety briefings.
What are the road rules applying to us athletes?
Standard road rules that apply to motorists and cyclists apply to all athletes during the event. Consider the road rules as you would on any other day.
There are marshals at key points, please respect what they have to say and follow their directions for your own safety.
What happens if it rains?
Unfortunately, you get wet! We can't account for the weather, so if it rains, it rains!
Will the event be canceled?
Only under very extreme circumstances. In the very unlikely event of a cancelation this will be notified on More FM 91.6FM.
Are there entry limits for the events?
YES. To secure a place - you must enter before the events fill.
Are we timed?
Please check individual event information to see if the event is timed. In general the Sport Northland Run/Walk Series is not timed (except for the Kerikeri Half Marathon).
What if I need medical aid?
We ask St Johns to attend our events. If you do suffer from an allergy or any medical condition we require you write this on the back of your race number to assist the medical team.
